Unik Works brings to life Okonori, a high-end Japanese kitchen that embodies refinement through design, craft, and tradition. Situated in Carmel, this project fuses the elegance of contemporary architecture with the timeless artistry of Japanese culinary culture.

Every detail has been custom-designed and constructed with precisionfrom bespoke furnishings to a spatial flow that mirrors the cadence of a fine Japanese meal. The architecture guides guests through an intentional sequence of arrival, dining, and reflection, offering both intimacy and expansiveness.

Inspired by Japanese philosophy, the forms embrace balance, restraint, and subtle imperfection, translated into a modern dining context. Textures and materials are chosen to evoke authenticity, while layered lighting creates atmosphere that shifts with the rhythm of day and night.

Okonori is conceived as both a stage and sanctuary: a place where tradition meets modern craftsmanship, where each dish and each space share the same dedication to purity, precision, and experience.
